Warm hands in -25ºC thanks to Snowshepherd

Exceptionally cold temperature over the last few days and many additional hot chocolate stops required for some to keep warm. On the summits when the wind has got up towards the end of the day it has been brutally cold but for once my hands weren’t suffering thanks to some new Snowshepherd gloves.

The Leather Ski Guide Pro Mittens with finger inserts inside really did the job of keeping hands warm and toasty when everyone else seemed to be moaning. Really well made with thick, quality leather, they look pretty indestructible too. Not a mark on them after carrying multiple pairs of skis and scraping snow & ice of car windscreens with them!

When it’s -16ºC at the BOTTOM of a sheltered lift, you do need decent gear!

Frost on the safety bars and even in your hair last week – thankfully getting a little warmer through this week.

It really was too cold to take photos outside last weekend!

Snowshepherd have sold the classic leather ski workers glove for many years (check out what lifties and pisteurs wear) and now have refined it with their own range of ski gloves using premium quality full hide leather with the addition of a breathable membrane from Hipora increasing warmth and windproofing. Insulation extends over the wrist to fit snugly over or under your ski jacket sleeve maintaining the warm seal.
