MARCH SNOW! Snowing this morning above 1800m

A wet overcast grey morning in La Tania this morning but first lift
junkies were rewarded as the rain turned to snow at the top of the
gondola.

First tracks down the Lac Bleu and on up Biollay and Suisse for around
7cm of fresh dryer snow on the summit of Saulire.

Having picked up the piste bashers grooming schedue at the bottom of
the Biollay lift we knew Combe de Pylon had been pisted and with a
lovely covering of fresh snow on top it was simply delicous – poor
vis, but reliable, consistent cover meant you could let it rip.

Coqs chair not running so back via Plantrey, very wet at the bottom
but snow again at the top. Some sticky sections on the way back down
and the bottom of Lanches hadn't been pisted so was wet and cruddy.
Folyeres was as usual in brilliant condition, groomed perfectly and
although wet was a great smooth ski back down to La Tania for a Ski
Lodge Saturday All Day Breakfast (from 10:30 to 12:00!).

I may be wet, but I'm happy – It certainly beats a Saturday morning in
the UK.
